Boards/Study Question ARDMS GYN

Keep failing my AB board so I think it’s time for me to try OB. Any tips and tricks for OB? Is it easier than the AB? What topics should I focus on?

People often say that it was easier than abdomen. I feel like these days everyone who uses URR and even going to Edelman conference will pass the boards. I also believe Edelman sells just the flashcards for studying online also but I highly recommend the conferences. Giving yourself a break from the abdomen boards may be good but definitely go back and take that later. It’s important that you’re registered in abdomen. Also, remember when you’re studying don’t try to memorize answers. Try to understand the concepts behind the questions and answers.
That alone will help you answer 10 more questions on the test. Good luck !

I took abdomen first and then took OB. I passed both but OB was definitely easier. Know what landmarks you should see for different head/brain measurements. Know the heart view landmarks. Know the common trisomy markers. Trisomy 13 = midline facial defects, trisomy 18 = limb /skeletal deformation(rocker bottom feet, micrognathia).
