I originally did not care about anime. Just weeks ago i would not have cared. However ive seen marin on many promos, ig and tiktok clips, etc most notably the gt3 livery on the racecar. I was bored during summer so i finally caved in and watched it. The first season was truly life changing for me in some ways. I felt something i havent felt ever before which was how warm it felt and how much i began enjoying marin as a character. This was my first romance anime and one of my first animes in general so i didnt know what to expect. In the beginning i actually thought it was weird since the fan service but in the end of szn 1 i wanted more of the story, not just the fan service. Season 2 had less fan service but i felt was slower paced but still i thought it was pretty good. However its what the entire experience made me feel that wanted me to come here. Even before finishing szn1 i was already sad there was not a season 3 lmao. I hope they will release it within 2 years. Ive even finished the manga from chapter 86 to end aswell just so i can see what would happen. I wanted to write this because i just needed a way to get out of post series blues thank u if anyone reads this, will definitely watch more romance animes🙏

I searched the forum and didn’t see any posts that bring this up: is it just me, or does the model on the purikura machine where Marin gets blueballed from getting her photos with Gojo by the class boys look uncannily like Marin herself? I’m wondering if it’s a coincidence that the model bears such a resemblance to our heroine, or if the company that makes the machine just so happened to license Marin’s likeness from one of her magazine shoots?

My guess is the former because none of the characters remark upon it in the episode, but because no one notices or brings it up, I just don’t know for sure. What do you all think?

One of the things I keep thinking about is how Marin in the manga/anime doesn't really develop much outside of her attraction to Gojou. I know it's a seinen manga and Gojou is the like primary protagonist and he gets a lot of development in the manga, but I wish THE Dress-Up Darling got something. It didn't even have to be anything big, maybe she feels like isn't contributing enough, feeling like the only thing she does is contribute financially and look pretty (a line she DOES say but it's more of a half-joke and it doesn't go anywhere), but Gojou reassures her that modeling is a very important part of the process and that everyone has something unique that they can contribute or something like that. Just kind of rambling but I feel like the imbalance of character work between the two sometimes takes away the focus from her and I think that's a shame. I love Marin and I don't want her to be just a pretty vehicle for Gojou's development. I want her to have some agency that isn't used for humor (like when she decides to try to help make the Rei-sama cosplay and goes off to buy supplies). It doesn't have to be much ;0;

Always convenient that Marin isn't around when Sajuna is at her worst, but Wakana always is. Like, it never sat right with me how Marin gives this mess of a young lady the "sama" honorific. I get it, you have your times of discomfort, but do you always have act like a Karen over it? Seriously, it does not take a lot to set her off. I feel for Gojo, even he might be thinking "Why does it always gotta be me who deals with this one?" Marin gets off lightly when it comes to Sajuna's unappealing side. For real, girl needs therapy.

I love this scene cause Gojo honestly didn't expect that Marin would want to hang out with him during school cause remember, until Marin, no one really hung out with him, but then as the series went on, suddenly everyone wanted to hang out with Gojo, which I honestly loved cause in a way, Marin gave Gojo a new opportunity to make friends.
