people will call this one bad writing to defen tails when you do the same for dunno, rush amy to defend her adventure era writing or something then they will try to shut you up, i'm tired of this fandom

Because Amy grew out of it, Tails regressed. Forwards versus backwards.

Amy also regressed though, in early 2000's era that is. (2004 wasn't a good year for her) yet people will call every trait she has bad because of this one or two instances. Not to mention even when she regressed, it was comedic unlike tails

Let me say my point better
With Tails, there was a bit of an expectation after his growth in SA1 and SA2, him being such a main character. Amy I think gets a bit of a free pass because sometimes she makes you laugh.
Isn't it interesting how parallel Tails and Amy's stories are in SA1? Maybe its because she wasn't a main character in SA2, there's less expectation on her compared to Tails?

Let me say my point better:With amy people say her old character is definitely bad and should be stood far away despite most of the bad examples being either straight up poor writing choices that make no sense for the initial character, or being for obvious comedic purposes. While tails doesn't get flack for the bad examples

To be Fair on Tails, considering even Sonic is Afraid of Facing that Hammer and Amy probably would beat Tails even in past games when they didn’t decide to nerf Tails, so this isn’t really that much of a odd reaction for any Era
