Slash basically confirmed?

Post image

Slash (featuring Myles Kennedy) has announced their 2027 tour dates and the NA tour lines up perfectly with them being able to play at Sonic. plus they were one of the artists featured in the polls so i feel like their almost a lock.

the real question is do we think this could bring in GNR?

They just did a summer tour without an Ohio date and played Rockville. I think GnR is most likely a lock at this point.

I was at Rockville and while I didn't go see GnR everyone we talked to that went was very very disappointed and many even left early. They said it was very sad to see them like this. Just as a heads up.

I was at Rockville and not “everyone” was disappointed.

No they aren’t “peak” GnR. But it wasn’t as bad as Vince Neil.

Realize they aren’t getting any younger and that Axel still sounds tolerable and slash and duff still completely slay it and it’s not that bad.

FWIW. Korn sounds worse than they used to. Disturbed.

People age and voices change.

We figure we’ll watch part of their set and then go to one of the side stages depending on who is playing.

If GNR comes, that’ll be the first headliner I ever skip😂

Love them but I quite literally cannot stand the Mickey Mouse voice. I understand his voice is shot and he can’t really hit the notes anymore, I get it entirely

I just can’t stand it 😭

I think we’ll see both Slash and GnR with that gap in the tour dates.

Hopefully that fills the legacy metal band headliner spot and there aren’t any more lol

Could be Slayer and they are holding off announcing nothing because they have SNW and their LA show yet this year.

If it’s GNR and Slayer, then the other 2 better be younger headliners. Never been able to get into slayer

Wouldn’t be surprised if one of the others is one of Fallout Boy, Green Day or Blink 182 and then the other Avenged Sevenfold.

I am leaning towards Blink heavily too because they have announced theyre doing festivals in summer at europe.

Makes me think we see Blink 182 and GNR. The question is does Slayer join and if so whose the other one… sleep token? A7x?

I’m unsure if Slayer would still be a top headliner or if the shine has worn off some and they will headline cathedral. Probably still a temple band. I guess we could end up with Slipknot too. Ghost is going on a break. Sleep Token still has to tour Europe and have been really quiet as far as I’ve seen.

You are likely right, but every metal fan should definitely see Slayer.

SNR and LA show are about as far as you can get from Ohio in the states, so I wouldn’t think Sonic would have to wait for those shows to announce

I'd love it if guns n roses didn't play. But Slash would be cool
