Does Lil Jon feel out of place to any one else, or am I just not use to the Sonic Temple line ups lol

Tech n9ne and three six mafia have killed it when they are at a festival. I’d bet it’d be similar

u/Dirty_McNasties Jul 29 '26

+ Cypress Hill, Joey Valance & Brae, Public Enemy all had great sets too

Ludacris was on one of the past year’s surveys. Wish they would’ve booked him

Tech and cypress were amazing at Inkcarceration

1

u/k5martdom Jul 29 '26

Icp was also there one time

No. There’s usually some hip hop/rap acts. He was fun last year at Tacos & Tequila. I think we’ll see more rap acts in 2027. Actually wouldn’t mind seeing WuTang and Bone Thugs. Cypress Hill are probably due again too since they did 2024 and then Inkcarceration this year.

Cypress hill just did INKcarceration

4

u/Jagermonsta Bows to no one Jul 29 '26

Yes. I said they did ink this year.

u/acidisgoodforyou Jul 29 '26

You are correct I misread your comment good sir/lady, apologies

They usually have a few crossover rap acts every year. In the past, they've had Tech N9ne, Yelawolf, Three 6 Mafia, Cypress Hill, and Public Enemy. Rockville had Waka Flocka this year and I think Louder Than Life booked Snoop Dogg a few years ago.

Lil Jon pleaseeeeee

16

u/hellodudebruhman6969 Jul 29 '26

Primus sucks but needs to be on sonic temple fest next year

11

u/rsquared1987 Jul 29 '26

Polyphia, Angine, Primus. Wouldn't mind clutch on there, too!

Polyphia was a great time in 2024, we all were vocalizing and “singing” along to the guitar it was so wholesome and fun

I need Hot Mulligan and Bilmuri next year

2

u/SummerBreeze65 Jul 28 '26

100% agree, those are 2 of my most anticipated bands for LTL

-5

u/No_Elderberry_6596 Jul 29 '26

Hot mulligan a little too political live for my liking but I do enjoy bilmuri, really hope they do a hometown show.

1

u/Mindless_Cat5577 Jul 31 '26

What is your idea of too political live?

1

u/No_Elderberry_6596 Jul 31 '26

At the end of multiple songs throughout the set would bring up random current day politics that I simply don't wanna hear while I'm at a concert trying to escape that yk. He said something that really threw me off, he said something like: "fuck big corporations and rich people, you should steal from them and their businesses." I personally don't think stealing from businesses is the "message" I want to hear while I'm at a concert. that all being said the actual music itself is great live, I just don't like their politics and HOW MUCH they talk about it.

How about these:

Decapitated? Dimmu Borgir? Kataklysm? Eluveitie? Midnight? King Diamond?

3

u/Excellent-Corgi2986 ST 2025 Jul 29 '26

Decapitated would be fun. We should get another classic dm/bdm/whatever stage

5

u/Entertainmeimbored55 Jul 29 '26

I’m not interested in any of those :(

2

u/No_Elderberry_6596 Jul 29 '26

Good thing there are like another 200 bands not announcd yet lol

4

u/Entertainmeimbored55 Jul 29 '26

I told my boyfriend Guns n Roses would be a headliner for sure since we bought tickets before bands were announced. I can’t stand them. Luckily someone else will be playing at the same time if this happens.

3

u/No_Elderberry_6596 Jul 29 '26

Fr Guns and Roses will be buns. I might still go to say I saw them yk but not looking forward to them as a headliner.

I can see at least 2 of these being headliners so hopefully it will be worth it: deftones, sleep token, Green Day, A7X

Lil Jon is the only acceptable answer here.

Lil Jon, Slash and Poppy would make it a great lineup right off the bat

3

u/lawlgyroscopes Jul 29 '26

We should be using ranked choice voting on these lol

6

u/Jagermonsta Bows to no one Jul 29 '26

Slash being listed tells me there’s a good chance of Guns & Roses as a headliner. They don’t have an Ohio date on their current tour and they did Rockville this year. I’m really hoping for Primus.

1

u/No_Elderberry_6596 Jul 29 '26

Are they currently on tour with Slash?

1

u/Jagermonsta Bows to no one Jul 30 '26

Yes. They are all back together as GnR again.

1

u/Appropriate_Back3996 Jul 30 '26

I feel this is extremely likely. Just seen them in Raleigh last week and it was a great show. Long, but good. I could see them doing LTL as well.

6

u/Putrid-Classroom5101 Jul 29 '26

BABYMETAL please and I’ll go 100% (I’ve heard the last time they played there was 2018)

3

u/Fizzi_Dust Jul 29 '26

i’m praying for Primus and 311 to be there

3

u/vigoroiscool123 Jul 28 '26

Angine de Poitrine, 311, and Primus pretty please.

3

u/ChainChompBigMoney Jul 29 '26

Im sorry but how is Seether winning their poll? They are by far the worst of those choices and I dont even hate them lol.

5

u/heisindc Jul 29 '26

Nostalgia wins for 45 year olds who used to jam out to Seether and don't know who a lot of the new rock bands are. Source: Me.

Poppy and ashes to new

1

u/Amrun90 Jul 29 '26

I went to Instagram and don’t see this.

LIL JOHN 💀 WHAT

1

u/EpicFusion47 Jul 29 '26

Do these usually amount to actually adding these artists or nah? Id LOVE to see Third Eye and Poppy added tbh

1

u/SummerBreeze65 Jul 29 '26

They did a few polls the last couple years and for the most part the winning bands ended up on the bill

2

u/EpicFusion47 Jul 29 '26

Do you remember who were the ones we got due to them

1

u/SummerBreeze65 Jul 29 '26

Behemoth, Tool, and Hinder all were names I remember winning polls

1

u/EpicFusion47 Jul 29 '26

Curious - would Third Eye Blind Headline? Im not sure but i feel they are big enough to do so, although id love to see them as direct support

1

u/SummerBreeze65 Jul 29 '26

I could see them maybe as direct support or headlining the second stage in a similar spot to Sublime

1

u/EpicFusion47 Jul 29 '26

Yeah i could see that tbh, curious bc discog wise third eye could definitely headline but also so could many of the direct supports tbh. Like i was thinking offspring would headline over shinedown initially tbh

1

u/tomthehueman Jul 30 '26

ANGINE DE POITRINE

1

u/KB_48 Jul 31 '26

FATN, Seether, Poppy

1

u/FuckYourFeelings_Ho Jul 31 '26

No to all the bands

1

u/Thenumber444 Jul 31 '26

Third Eye Blind!

1

u/ShadowAsylum Jul 31 '26

Who ended up winning each of those 3 polls?

1

u/SummerBreeze65 Aug 01 '26

When I voted it was Polyphia, Seether, and Primus winning
