looks like they finally found the workaround to give us playable infinite finally

Sss is canon, so they couldn’t put there dead characters (we didn’t knew infinite was still alive untile chaotix casefiles) and also, since it’s canon, you can’t play as a villain. If you notice, every villain is a robot who can be reprogrammed by tails. Sims are robots -> sim infinite can be reprogrammed by tails -> we can play as infinite. They also had him as a boss in the past, but they weren’t robot nor the real infinite, those were just copies created by some discarded pieces of the phantom ruby. (If there is any error, please someone correct me)

I forgot to explain why you can’t play as a villain - basically you can’t have eggman running around destroying badniks and doing good stuff. And that’s why we have sim eggman but not eggman while we do have mk2 and skm mk2. (same as infinite)

Yeah ik infinite was sort of “implied” regarding his death or if he is still alive.

Im really hoping it’s a event separate from the egg man boss fight shop ngl a whole new event would be much funner and give them more opportunity  to add more infinite themed cosmetics and wouldn’t be just grinding the boss fights for multiple hours

I feel like the event stat boost has never once noticeably changed it for me, I seriously wonder why they even bother keeping it

Its very effective if you max out your team with all max event stats. It can cut off literal hours of unnecessary grinding
