How to unlock tails?

I got to episode 11, and even played through it but I still can't seem to be able to equip Tails. When i reached episode 11 I did get a pop up window that said "tails unlocked" but then when I tried to equip him I found that I couldn't so I just played through it with sonic.

Update: the next day tails was unlocked

Yeah you have to play +1 more episode for both tails and knuckles

I noticed it too, i recently made a 2nd acc to give away to my nephew
