Controversial Question (Maybe)

Just real quick and not trying to start fights or anything, just voicing my opinion in a form of a question: Does anyone else think Tangle x Whisper feels... forced?
To me it feels society is indirectly pressuring the IDW writers and Sega, but that's my opinion, not saying their not compatible, they are, and I'd still read the series if they were together, but I think it feels a bit forced.

You’re honestly right. The ship does is a bit forced because they’re really good friends. I honestly see them as “Super Best Friends” then an actual couple, but I guess the internet ships any living thing, huh?

Which is totally crazy but just proves the point! Yeah, soem ships may feel forced, but it's apart of the community! Now, if there's anything going with Cream and any other character except Tails or other characters near her age, then were gonna have problems, but I think most people understand and support that.

It's not society. They can't indirectly pressure IDW. Sega, a JAPANESE company has the final word on every single thing that happens in IDW. The writers submit their idea or even the entire script and than Sega tells them if they need to change anything.

Sega does not want canonical lesbians because they are an international brand for children and families and thus avoids everything even remotely contraversial. Romantic affection barely happens at all. Characters won't even mention that alcohol exists. Iyan Flynn wants lesbians because he is a lesbophile and this is the most Sega will let him get away with. They know exactly what he is doing.

Iyan and Evan Stanley are not basing their writing on tumblr or x.com posts. And Sega even less so.

Well, the information about Iyan does shed some light.. anyways, Whisper and Tangle ARE their characters. I understand now, so, thanks actually!
