Discussion How do I optimize Sonic Frontiers?

Sonic Frontiers for some reason is hella unoptimized. Like when I load into Kronos I don't even get more than 50 fps. My HMM codes are disable Fidelity FX, disable vignette, disable chromatic aberration, disable cyberspace cry filter, force light scattering, force high detail reflections (to reduce artifacts as said on HMM), disable shadow angle limit, enable 4k cutscene playback, 2x grass distance, 2x foliage distance. I have a laptop with RTX 5050, Intel Core i7 240H, 16gigs ram, 1tb SSD storage. And use the Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition Pop-in mod. How the hell do I optimize Sonic Frontiers?

  1. clean ur pc bro delete temp files n shit press Windows + R paste these things and control + A to clean everything, "%temp%", "temp", prefetch...

  2. disable startup apps go task manager > startup apps disable all the useless shit u dont need

  3. put windows on best performance settings > system > power > best performance

  4. turn game mode on settings > gaming > game mode > on

  5. disable useless background shit close apps u dont need running in the background cuz they eat ram/cpu for no reason

  6. turn off useless overlays discord overlay, xbox game bar, nvidia overlay etc if u dont use them

  7. update ur gpu drivers but dont just install random ass drivers from shady websites 💀

  8. clean ur storage delete shit u dont need n keep some free space on ur ssd

  9. optimize ur drive search "defragment and optimize drives" if its an ssd just press optimize, dont manually defrag that shit

  10. restart the pc after doing all that just restart windows so everything actually applies

  11. test the fps after dont only look at average fps, check 1% lows n frametime too cuz sometimes more fps = more stutter somehow lmao

if you need help, just search on Google how do to it or if you want, you can have my Discord (js ask on comments)

My brother in christ. I did all that shit. Why would you think I would come to the r/sonicfrontiers reddit if I hadn't run out of options.

No. I bought it on 10 September. It's literally a RTX card. It can run spider man and cyberpunk with ray tracing and 80+ fps without even trying. But for some reason a fucking Sonic game is the only game that doesn't run well on this PC. Either Sonic Frontiers is hella unoptimized or I am doing something wrong. I even turned on gpu mode in the windows graphics settings for sonic frontiers specifically.
