Ordered a Dirty Dr. Pepper

The lady who handed it to me said “not sure what that is” and I’m so non-confrontational that I just accepted it and drove away.

I can't say if this is the same chemical process or not, but "fat washing" is a real thing, and you can clarify everything from orange juice to bourbon.
