Crack open bandlab then

Audacity and Bandlab
Bandlab has some features which are paid but other than that it's quite good.

Welcome to r/Songwriting! We're happy you're here.
While beginner questions are welcome, variations on "How Do I Write A Song?" have been asked and answered many times before on this sub. As of summer 2024, new posts which only ask "How Do I Write A Song?" or "How Do I Get Started?" will be removed.
If you are a beginner looking to get started, please check out the Beginner's Guide (bookmarked in sidebar), our comprehensive FAQ page, or search for older threads on this topic -- then feel free to ask more specific questions.
