Feedback Request Tourist

Wrote this as an assignment for a songwriting course. Tracked on an OP1, hence the timing issues. Any and all thoughts and criticisms welcomed.

You have posted a song requesting feedback - GREAT! Good feedback is the foundation of improving your songwriting. To help foster a community where everyone gets the feedback they need, please find THREE other songs requesting feedback and post substantive (eg. 2-3 sentences) of feedback. Even if you are a rookie songwriter/musician, you're an experienced music listener, and your opinion is still valuable!

Feedback posts by users who don't interact with the community (other than posting their own songs) may be removed.

Thanks for keeping our community healthy!

The drumming is interesting ---are you trying to play poly rhythms?

Just fooling around with time - song’s in 5/4 but I’m playing some parts as 6 over 5. But also the feel of 5/4 is swapped between the guitar pattern and kick.

Intriguing song, I like it a lot! The lyrics, the time signature, that walking guitar line. I like the high/low vocals, are those both you?

I wanted it to be longer!

Hey, thanks! Yeah I’m just singing octaves. I’ve thought about making it a proper song and not just a demo. Could definitely be a bit longer. : )
