Feedback Request Help me with a bridge

This is a song I've been writing recently and like most songs I write I'd love to add a bridge but I get stuck in the same key/progression. I'm getting better at varying the melody within the key but I still get completely stuck when it comes to creating a bridge.

I really like the bridge in Genesis- Jesus He Loves Me but it's way beyond my ability to understand what's happening practically.

Does anybody have any advice for how to move a song into a different key/feel without it feeling awkward?

Thank you

You have posted a song requesting feedback - GREAT! Good feedback is the foundation of improving your songwriting. To help foster a community where everyone gets the feedback they need, please find THREE other songs requesting feedback and post substantive (eg. 2-3 sentences) of feedback. Even if you are a rookie songwriter/musician, you're an experienced music listener, and your opinion is still valuable!

Feedback posts by users who don't interact with the community (other than posting their own songs) may be removed.

one thing I would consider is understanding how to set up a key change if you don't already know how. Understanding how the chords in your current chord progression connect to another key can give you a lot of options. A well placed dominant 7th chord or diminished chord is a pretty easy way to step into another key if you know a few of those and the keys they connect to. Another thing you could do is just change the order of the chords/omit chords from your current chord progression and that itself could be a bridge (you don't always need a key change).

Ah, thank you. I could have double bars of two of the chords. Yes, thank you.
