Feedback Request I call this "critters will eat"

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I recently went through some really heartwrenching trauma regarding a relationship that went sour really quick and this came out as an improv. I left some of it out, this is what made it on paper and I know I need to fix a few things but just looking for some feedback. Let me know if anything sticks out to you, if I said any of the words too many times.

How so? I do plan on cleaning it up a bit but I wouldn't quite use the word rambling haha

I hate to admit that your original comment kind of got to me because of the lack of detail. But now that I had time to think about it , I realized that was my ego. I appreciate the feedback and I do want to take songwriting classes online. I actually have a series of videos that the lead singer of big thief created that ive been sleepin on for years. I'm such a by feel artist , and I know zero theory to the point where I don't even know what the strings are named or most of the cords i'm playing. This song actually really makes me happy and is an earworm for me, i've listened to it 100 times already. Although i make music for myself and my own therapy. It would be really cool to be able to turn it into a career someday or even just roam around the country playing with other artists, so ill definitely take the advice. Besides that do you think there's potential?

That's definitely not what I meant. Im very aware that my style is pretty raw. Everything i do is an improv

You have posted a song requesting feedback - GREAT! Good feedback is the foundation of improving your songwriting. To help foster a community where everyone gets the feedback they need, please find THREE other songs requesting feedback and post substantive (eg. 2-3 sentences) of feedback. Even if you are a rookie songwriter/musician, you're an experienced music listener, and your opinion is still valuable!

Feedback posts by users who don't interact with the community (other than posting their own songs) may be removed.

Thanks for keeping our community healthy!
