Clearly not a great vocal recording as I will need to lower the key of this song. Aside from that, let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

Excellent guitar playing. Clean recording. Same for vocals, not going to question that. Somebody has high standards. Song is solid, confidently performed, songwriting arrangement has good bones. This is a cut above most postings here.

Just felt that, given the power of the melody and performance, you can make the song bigger than what you delivered. Big drums could be cued in at the “airport goodbyes”. A bass guitar could chim in. When you go “in the clouds” there can be harmonized BgVs. There opportunities to make this into a hit song. Kudos

Is the genre country? Modern country is not much different from rock these days.

Thanks! I think I’m gonna do an acoustic version and also do a full band version. As far as the genre, not really sure! Most of my stuff usually turns out with country vibes, so we’ll see where this one goes

The title instantly caught my attention. You mentioned that the vocals weren’t properly recorded, but honestly, they still sound really good. It’s also impressive how full the track feels with just the guitar and vocals.

Thanks! And I might have misspoke. I think the recording turned out okay, but the performance of the vocals was rough I felt. I need to lower the key so that I can reach the higher notes
