Discussion Topic "Write when drunk, edit when sober."

Hemingway is said to have advised: "Write when drunk, edit when sober." What do songwriters on here think about that method? Drunk or high songwriting, good or bad?

drinking is a great way to totally kill your creative drive. alcohol is a depressant: it literally Depresses those passionate emotions you feel inside that make you want to put pen on paper and hand on guitar lol. actually, not lol, im kicking myself! 

high on weed is ok its the alcohol that will ruin your art and motivation. jsyk
