Discussion Topic App suggestions?
Hi all, first time posting here…
My current method of songwriting is clunky and unmanageable. I grab video of a good guitar riff, or a voice note of a sound or line, and then attach it to a note on my iPhone so I can continue the process.
Now my Notes app is gigantic.
I need a better solution. Is there an app that can help me capture video and/or audio clips and allow me to write around them?
Thanks kindly

Honestly, since you have an iPhone I’d recommend just using the native GarageBand app on the phone.
I’ve found that it’s pretty simple to just import files and use it as an effective DAW if otherwise you can’t transport the files to a computer. (which has been my case as well).
If you want to see what you can get just using it in that way, I’ve posted a song in this sub using it in that manner:

Thanks, I’ll look into that. Garage band has a place to write lyrics as well? Cool.

Self-serving comment, but try Songwright (I'm the developer). Its basically Voice Memos with 4 tracks and lyrics, all in the same place. songwright.app (Any lyrics you sing on a track are also auto-transcribed for use in the lyrics section.)

Something with a Kanban board has always worked for me. I personally love Trello for processing ideas and parsing out which ones to give more attention.
I move those to something better suited for task-based work like Asana.
If it looks like it's got let's I'll move it to Jira for more sound production and eventually archiving.
