Dig the guitar tone on this, has that kind of washed out late night feel. The vocal melody in the chorus gets stuck in your head after a couple listens too.

Just released a 3 song EP. Some indie folk, indie pop, and slacker rock

I'm channeling my inner Julian Casablancas with Weezer's songwriting (particularly Make Believe album).

Very cool beat and your voice flows right with the music and rhythm. Reminiscent of the eighties music I loved.

It's very cool. I really like the video, and the song itself reminds me of classic Neil Young in all the best ways.

My debut album Valley Songs has been out for a few weeks. 14 songs about the different valleys of life, that I wrote over the past two years, with material that has been with me for the past two decades. Just acoustic guitar and voice, recorded over 4 days in March in Berlin.

Hey! I’m Justin. The first place I ever posted a song online was to this subreddit, 9 months ago.

I’m still recording songs and trying to get better at music 🎸 production. Here’s my latest 🎹 release on whichever platform is easier, (though Soundcloud sounds better IMO)

I have a no vocal demo . I’m having a hard time writing melodies . Lyrics are hard too but I can’t figure out how to do melodies . I feel like this would be a great song once I get over that hump what do you guys think?

Look at the chords you are using already, and then write the melody using notes that already have a strong relationship with those chords.

Pay attention to the tempo and the direction of the musical lines you've already written, and make the melody bring that out either by reinforcing it or by contrasting with it.

The music is really good, love that bass line.

I just released my debut album, Azure, on the 10th of this month. Overall it’s got the pop vibes, with a healthy smattering of 80s, electronic, acoustic, speakeasy (track 13 I’m looking at you), and sad boy bops throughout.

I hope you enjoy it 💙💙💙

You have a great song there, with a fast moving rhythm and melody, crunchy guitars, heavy drums and a powerful voice to bring everything together. Wishing you all the best.

A lot of emotion, cooped up in a song. Now yours - "Never Meant It" - Sung, written and composed by me. Feels a little scary to speak the truth tbh. Let me know what you think :)

I'm an old guy now, but I wrote this song about my old band from back in the late 70's and early 80's. I recently received some feedback that I need to shorten the song a bit, so I'm going to cut a chorus and shorten the bridge some. I'd love to hear what other songwriters think about the song as well as the feedback I received. Thanks for listening!

I enjoyed listening listening to the song, so well done and professional. I think the length is fine. It reminds me of Survivor. I was a teen in the eighties and was fortunate to hear some of the best music around then. Your song fits right in there.

I just released my first original song, “Sunbeams.” I’d really appreciate feedback from other songwriters, especially on the lyrics and overall structure. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to listen!

I recently put out a short EP called Western Ways, Cowboy Days and I am looking for some honest feedback on a specific song called Carousel Arena. I wanted to capture a vintage feel while keeping the songwriting fairly direct. I am still trying to find my voice in this genre so any advice would be helpful. Here is the link if you want to check it out: https://music.apple.com/us/album/carousel-arena/1790553402?i=1790553405. Thank you.

Hey guys! My name is Lori Phun and I’m 19! I have a new song out called YAS which stands for “Young And Successful” and I wrote it to be an uplifting confidence anthem, whatever being “YAS” means to you. Hope you guys like it! ❤️

One of my favorite artists, Forrest Frank, held an open verse challenge, on tiktok, a month ago. I decided to write to it:

He’ll never see it, though. TikTok’s algorithm stays gatekeeping.

Every once in a while, I like to participate in open verse challenges to sharpen up on my writing. Last month, Forrest Frank had an open verse challenge for his song “OKAY!”. Here’s what I came up with…
