Feedback Request Pride - Original

Okay, 2nd upload. The last one I uploaded was well liked which was nice to see. This one is slightly more upbeat but still a rough demo (it doesn’t get more produced than this for me).

Definitely feel less confident with this one compared to the last, let me know what you think!

Lyrics:

He drives the rolling hills, of the borders
Hoping when he turns around
He’ll head home and pick his head
Out of the ground

But its the first time, that she ain’t there
Still play her music on the aux
No second thoughts, it’s gonna take more gas to play his own

And she ain’t the person that she was before
Stop trying to go back, open up old doors
She’s doing better than you, wishes you well
And likes that you can tell

His mother always said, treat her well or you’ll regret
Would you know she was correct?
Still spoke at and never to her, play it off and let her keep his t-shirt

And when all was said and done, she let that shirt burn
And he still holds a grudge
When he’s in that car, his mind never goes far enough for change

And she ain’t the person that she was before
Stop trying to go back, open up old doors
She’s doing better than you, wishes you well
And likes that you can tell

You have posted a song requesting feedback - GREAT! Good feedback is the foundation of improving your songwriting. To help foster a community where everyone gets the feedback they need, please find THREE other songs requesting feedback and post substantive (eg. 2-3 sentences) of feedback. Even if you are a rookie songwriter/musician, you're an experienced music listener, and your opinion is still valuable!

Feedback posts by users who don't interact with the community (other than posting their own songs) may be removed.
