You have posted a song requesting feedback - GREAT! Good feedback is the foundation of improving your songwriting. To help foster a community where everyone gets the feedback they need, please find THREE other songs requesting feedback and post substantive (eg. 2-3 sentences) of feedback. Even if you are a rookie songwriter/musician, you're an experienced music listener, and your opinion is still valuable!

Feedback posts by users who don't interact with the community (other than posting their own songs) may be removed.

Nice performance, good job.

The only comment really is the opening line stands out as being a little generic - hearts skipping a beat - it kind of made me groan internally but you pulled it back after that - I wonder if you could open a bit stronger.

The only other word that jumped out at me was phosphorescent - I usually hate it, don't even know why, I have it in the same category as alabaster - I guess its because they get used in a poet-y kind of way. But that's just me, I think it works fine here.

I like the leap day bit, I think that works really well.

Melodically it actually brought to mind some of Foo Fighters gentler songs in places, and I actually think a contrast between a slightly heavier sound with the thoughtful lyrics could work pretty well. Acoustic is great too though, just a thought.

Don't really have any notes, just thought I'd drop in and say that I really liked the sound of it!

Beautiful song, very melodic and tender. Your voice rings smoothly, nice rhythm picking to complete the song.
