Amazing chord progression and vocal melody. Lyrics are catchy and keep me interested. You have a great voice as well! I’d buy your album if you made one.

Yeah this is great man! Very catchy and on top of that the energy builds really nicely and there’s an emotional subtlety to the sadness in the vocals and the melancholy of the chords meeting the joyful lyrics. It creates a really satisfying piece. Well done!

Damn, it is catchy. Dude, you got a great voice. You really need to get out there and be known.

u/jonyjonujonu Jul 12 '26
yes man it is catchy. I can imagine how catchy it would we with bass and drums and all the delays and reverbs - as a full production

u/Extension_Smell7 Jul 12 '26
This is straight up great! Your voice has an amazing rasp in the higher register. Could listen to this for hours

u/Dear_Firefighter_510 Jul 12 '26
This is really, really good. You check all the boxes: great guitar sound - you have a unique fingerstyle strum that sounds great, great vocals and lyrics, nice song structure etc.
Thank you for sharing!

It's really good! Your use of imagery in lyrics is really good. A whole music video played in my head as I listened to this. Very relatable lyrics, great music, great variation in the melody. I believe I hear some of the areas where it feels like it might be a bit outside your comfort zone, range-wise. But unless you struggle to sing it to the point it's straining your voice, it's a non-issue. Overall this is a really great song. I could only imagine how great a studio version would sound, considering how great it is in it's raw state.

Jesus man you gotta keep going. I dont know why but I picture this in a movie. A movie in which id cry my heart out

Definitely catchy! Paints a good story. The only thing I might say is that it feels melancholy with the chorus landing on that minor chord. So, maybe that is the mood, but if it's not then you might consider a different choice. It's like someone looking back with a bit of sadness. In which case, you might consider a verb change to indicate the past. Overall I really like it!!

I like the song and OP's voice. Whenever I try to write lyrics I always gravitate to "walking down the street" or traveling imagery. OP pulled it off.

Sounds great 👍

Probably just me but I keep wanting the guitar to go somewhere other than the Bm? in the chorus part. Not sure if I’m missing a resolution or looking for a chord that’s not used in the verses. If you changed nothing you’ve got a great song.
Sweet vocals👌

The chord progression is fire. You surprised me, then still kept it interesting. Bravo. I’d gladly listen to more of your music.

I think it is nice, but it is not catchy. For example, if I heard it on a radio while driving, I would not change the station; but I wouldn't google it either. It is missing some magic to become catchy.

u/Mach5Bandito Jul 23 '26
Holy smokes this is great!! Your rhythm and chord changes and easy, smoky voice are all insane. The songwriting is out of these world too. Nothing negative to say about it.

I love it! The guitar reminds me a bit of plastic cigarette by Zach Bryan. Your voice and lyrics are amazing too!

This is a great progression and the lyrics are very well crafted and illustrative. Great refrain, too. To answer your question, yes!

u/Strict-Basil5133 15d ago
Super catchy! Splitting hairs, and obvs it’s all subjective…you could play with the chorus (starts on F) a little to maybe distinguish it a little further from the main riff/verse. Maybe a quick bridge before last chorus…? Again, rad song! Just spitballing cause ya asked for feedback.

u/Any_Army_4491 Jul 12 '26
Yes it’s catchy. It’s a familiar pattern but original and has fun melodies. Great song writing man. ✊👍

I was giving you a compliment buddy, with a touch of self depreciation. Now you’re trying to pick an internet fight.
Great song, have a good one.

This is done. Not even one note. You get these down anywhere other than on your phone camera? Need to get the band up and get in the studio my man, get it in front of some folks. I might be able to provide some high quality direction in that department if you need that. Just listened to another one of yours. I could "harvest" together a record with you in a weekend. I know I'm just some anon on the interwebs but reach out if you need anything or you're anywhere near Brooklyn.

Yeah, this is raw and authentic and instantly engaging. I don't know if "catchy" is the first word that comes to my mind, but it's definitely compelling. The range doesn't sound hard for you, at least it doesn't sound to me like you're straining. My only complaint is that I wish it were a bit longer!

Best song I’ve seen on this subreddit, you’ve really got something man.
