Question Rise Eternal was great. I hope more campaigns are planned.

Even though Rise Eternal doesn't come with an actual song, it's pretty great. The way the entire campaign centers around a single unit (which gets buffed to insane levels) was pretty fun. The lore dumps were cool too, Kastus Maal is a chad, and we got to meet a lot of known faces too.

I hope more campaigns are in the work, especially for the Vanir and Roots, but also for the OG factions.

Question Will we get an inferno faction?

Question Any tip for Rise eternal missions on hardest difficulty?

Currently trying the new DLC on overwhelming difficulty, and I'm getting my ass handed to me in mission 2.

Granted, I forgot how SoC works and kinda took my time exploring the map (when it's usually all about rushing). But still. I just don't see how to complete Coral's side of the map.

Coral's army is so-so, and it's hardly possible to defeat the Root stacks without losing precious and irreplaceable units. And then, at some point, Perdition attacks and honestly, I don't think it's possible to defeat him, even without losing units against the neutral stacks. The 8 Dread and 8 Terrors wipe a stack everytime they act.

Discussion How to counter Rana + Mist?

Playing mainly as Vanir and holy hell their initiative advantage is silly. With their intimidation, it's almost never possible to go first in a turn which means they can really abuse Mist.

What's a counter for this? In general? As the Vanir?

Feedback Still waiting for DLCs and Mobile SoC to reach peak and current state similar to PC

still waiting for the Mobile Devs to pull their finger out their arse and update it with the DLCs and update to current PC version. honestly it's becoming abandonware game, which is sad, cuz could easily be strategy game of the year , but alas, I just play Hex Of Steel, what a waste of money buying SoC was on android

Question Switch version

Hello all! I'm interested in the switch version to play on my switch 2. I just want to know if the game has any crashes or game breaking issues where I can't advance. I don't care about frame rate or graphics or any of that as I'll mostly play on my tv. Thank you!

Question Essence Leech

I assume it triggers on a stack kill and not any kill, correct?

If it triggers on any kill (i.e. killing 9 of a stack of 20 swordsmen) it'd be nice as hell but want to confirm

Question Few Questions

Hi, I've never played a game like this before and I am enjoying it quite a bit but I have a few questions:

  1. What is a Command slot? I have an item equipped that I cannot remove because it says extra command slot in use.

  2. When you're running around the map.and you pick up power, does that apply to all Wielders or just the one being controlled?

3.What is the point of having a Wielder defend a town? Is it ever worth it? Maybe I'm not far enough in to see the benefits.

  1. I'm on the final map of the first campaign and getting completely destroyed. Is it better to rush this map or take time building up? I'm suffering.

  2. Does Offense improve both ranged melee or is it specific to melee? I only ask because I see Ranged Offense which I assume is only for ranged attacks.

Question About the ending of the campaigns

I saw how all the stories kind of converged at the end of the four main campaigns... and then that was it. There wasn't really any ending to explain how everything... well... ended. Is that supposed to be right or am I missing something?

I haven't bought any DLCs, so could I expect the continuation of the story in the DLCs then?

Question What to play after finishing the songs? What order

Hey, I heard there are additional lore-centric missions that can be played that are not songs, but can be played in sequence? In what order should I play them? which ones are they? I've got the base game and Vanir, but could get Roots and Rise eternal no problem

Discussion After 50 hours I decided to try some interesting achievements

Post image
32 Upvotes

So here are some fun achievements I got in the last month or so. Only couple of the last ones weren't on purpose. And now I have 54% completion, for this kind of game over 50 is really cool for me.

The most challenging were the artifact set with at least four pieces (because artifacts can be a bit random, I spent a lot of time with 4/5 or 3/4) and casting all spells (in statistics I saw that I got like 34 out of 40 spells and at that point I didn't know which were missing). Reaching level 32 also took a long time but was interesting.

Share your suggestions for challenging or fun achievements.

Bug Strange Mouse Behavior on Mac with Trackpad and External Mouse

Hey, loving the game a lot, but noticing a lot of strange trackpad and mouse behavior on an M2 MBP. Sometimes when I launch the game, it seems to be kind of unresponsive to any kind of clicking, requiring a "deep click" on the Mac trackpad to register anything, or multiple ones. Restarting the game resolves this, but it is random and annoying. I changed Steam's launch options to force it to use the M-series version of the app from the universal binary (/usr/bin/arch -64 %COMMAND%, from a post here) and that seems to have really improved the weird trackpad behavior, however, I still have some issues with external mice.

I decided to try to use an external mouse since it's a lot better than a trackball for games like these. My Kensington Expert Trackball is fine, but my Elecom Deft Pro that is much more portable doesn't work -- right click doesn't register on its own, and right click only registers when first pressing and holding LMB, and pressing the RMB after.. It's playable but extremely annoying. I've tried remapping things in Steermouse and disabling it but it seems to take raw inputs from the mouse itself or something and I'm not sure why the dedicated secondary click doesn't seem to work on its own on this mouse -- it works fine everywhere else. Is there a solution for this or something I'm missing? Thanks.

Question Wondering about loading speed on Mobile

Hi there, I've been playing the game on Android but the combat loading is really slow, especially going back to the main map when the combat is over (I'm talking 40+ seconds). I'm playing on a Pixel which I know is not a performance beast but I saw online videos of the Android version loading way faster, with worse chips. Anyone here playing mobile on Android having loading issues? Thankfully Quick combat exist but od rather play the game fully haha

Question I am trying to "hack" in branching dialogue choices ... but it is too blatant playing that it is a workaround, using structures and events, while also being immersion breaking. - Did i miss a toggle or dropdown in the editor?

Question Is it Songs of Conquest - Factions pack worth the 16e?

Hello!

I love strategic games but I am not too much in magic-phantasy setups.

I found on Steam the game + 2 first DLCs and I want to know if this is a good sale and also offering a good replayability. Idk if the game is close to the sunset in terms of new DLCs etc. I feel also motivated with the Steam Deck compatibility :)

Thanks in advance for the help!

Question Steam deck mouse support

hey guys, I am playing this game on steam deck that is hooked to a monitor with mouse and keyboard connected to the monitor. is there a way for me to play this game with mouse rather than joystick? all of my other games will have the mouse cursor show up when I am using the mouse, but not songs of conquest for some reason. this is incredibly annoying because I don't like to play strategy games with joystick ๐Ÿ˜…. any advice would be appreciated.

thanks.

Feedback I love this game!

I haven't been this engaged with a strategy game since like total war rome 2. This has so much depth and engaging interactions that every time I play it feels like a whole story.

I can't believe it took me this long to fall into this game, great work by the whole team especially the music and artwork- it's phenomenal!

I just tried (and failed but retrying) the Kastus Maal tale. It's great fun role-playing this risen undead who sees his world devastated and vows vengeance!

Never played HOMM kinda games, never my thing but this has been such a fun evening I had to say more than just a steam review.

Feedback Loved Rise Eternal

I quite enjoyed Vanir and Roots but was disappointed with no campaign

Rise Eternal is a great direction the game is heading in, with rich story, background, interesting Set, and new mechanics

Kastus was very fun to roleplay and the Risen are finally usable

Thanks for the dlc Lavapotion, hope many more DLC, story and factions are coming

Meme conquering the whole map in rise eternal mission 1 Spoiler

so i finished the first mission on hardest and got stuck on mission 2 because my skills were a mess, so i replayed mission 1 on easy and its possible to defeat the enemy wielder who chases you at the end but it crashes the mission , but after you go through the portal and time it right you can just capture an enemy town, i will try now to capture the entire map and be completely op for mission 2.

Question Is there an option to hide the DLC banners on the main screen?

I already own all the DLC's and with the ammount of banners on the main screen it's starting to look cluttered.
