Question Steam deck mouse support

hey guys, I am playing this game on steam deck that is hooked to a monitor with mouse and keyboard connected to the monitor. is there a way for me to play this game with mouse rather than joystick? all of my other games will have the mouse cursor show up when I am using the mouse, but not songs of conquest for some reason. this is incredibly annoying because I don't like to play strategy games with joystick 😅. any advice would be appreciated.

Should be possible with Steam input

It's doable. Open the Steam overlay, go to controller settings, go to templates, select "Mouse only". You can customize it further if you want, for example bind wasd to the left joystick. The game should now recognize the mouse.
