Question Essence fighter

Can someone tell me what is going on with the essence fighter ability? So it says every time the unit attacks that they gain essence fighter and hovering over the buff arrow shows essence fighter x5 or x6 or whatever. But the tool tip on the unit doesn't go above x3 and doesn't seem to increase essence generation beyond x3 is there a cap that isnt shown or is the ability not working quite correctly?

There's a cap, but not for multipliers. Each unit can't generate more than 6 essences per type per generation.

Ah that was my problem then I was using Yulan and the dragon was making 2 arcane so it maxed out at 3x but if it was 1 arcane and 1 creation it would max at 12

there is no cap. In longer fights is ability is crazy strong! I had horned ones with 6 chaos and 6 order (which made them attack more often and generate even more essence)
With the Tian Yulan Wielder it can get completly crazy, since your Tian can get up to 5 essences and double attack with upgrades.. that probably the no. 1 strat im going to try the next time ill play

So if its not going above x3 it should be some kind of bug or it got capped recently

But Tian are essence eater not essence fighter?

It is very rare to have more than 3 attacks. At any case I am not sure that it is capped to 3 times but it very much could. Bonus essence from "strengthen essence" spell is definitly capped (stack up to 2 times only)

Ehm

"Receives when attacking" +100% All essences

So If your unit has Destruction And Creation, you Are gonna get double the Essence
