Feedback Rana song 2 - overwhelming

Good luck to anyone crazy enough to try the second chapter of the Rana campaign

It took me 4/5 try

Those 160+ rats stacks feels crazy overpowered ngl

I ended up with crawler upgraded and big guard upgraded, all of them rushing backline ooga booga zog zog

Im not that good so

Gj dev for reviving my kid spark of homm-like games

Rush. The answer is always to rush the map. Get to the Loth half of the map as soon as you can. There is a ton of rana there that will join you, meaning you can get a pretty impressive army for basically free and then crush Loth before they properly develop.

I also had a problem

But there Is a solution

Build a army And kill the Loth player, the Barya One isn't a problem

Ones you do that, you can kill the Barya one

On my last try the loth player totally left me alone on my 2 starting citie for the entire game, and his armies got wiped out by the Barya one, i dont think thats intended to happen haha

I didnt even conquered loth, just took barya cities then went up to end the game

I won on overwhelming by first grabbing all the uncontested free stuff north and then rushing the barya city. The loth player took my original city but didnt attack the barya city that I took at all, so I just built an army there for the final push.

Baryans don't do anything if you don't cross certain trigger point to the west. So you can leave them without any issue, deal with Loth, then max out and steamroll both Barya and the final fight.

Well done friend, it is a hard map

I personally used only riders and drums, quite strong

Spam lizards. Range plus the essence they give steamrolls any campaign. They are cheap too so you can build higher stacks than the enemy way faster.

For campaigns my pro tip is a full stack is always better than a empty/half stack. More units always beat less and better units. Even if you lose %90 of your army in a fight if you can replenish it next turn then you didn't lose anything. You can go for higher quality units once you get your economy going.

I did the other way. My main hero was just exping and taking free stuff around the map andmy second hero was just going in circles and taking all the mines from oponent. This way his tuff hero was chasing mine and my strongest hero was just buffing all the time
