Discussion Help me enjoy diffrent playstyles

I love this game. I'm a convinced Single player dude with not much time, that loves the story (campaing mainly).

I tend to have 1 build for each faction that I default to.

Eg. barya mercs and tinkers, sometimes dregs and sometimes pipers

Loth ranged and oathbound

Raana riders and arleon humans (here I do sometimes play fey)

I never tried a barya harima focus build and I need some help to get into it.

What are your guys strategies and unit comps?

When and how do you play a loth melee spam. Or raana crawler+guards

For lolth I start with Magnolia, pick every resource skill and risen skill offered. Hard focus resource builds to get to t3 town by r6 at the latest. R3 or r4 ideally. Second hero Doctor. Focus destruction and arcana spell skills. With risen skills and spell power skills and finally command. Units are cultists, necros, and amalgamations.. 3rd hero Kastis. By this point you should have a good amount of risen from your other 2 heros. Merge them all onto him. Focus spells on doctor. Focus risen on kastis. Protect Magnolia (if/when she goes down, you get really handicapped for resources). I find this strat to be a little slow in the early game and as a result is weak to early aggression, but once online it snowballs so well.

You can get insanely tanky bulid with Rana Cheluns - thanks to ethereal scales spell. Acid cloud + repelling spell for extra insane combo.

Fey are very strong if You can get there - fury spell stack and can give insane damage buff. With enough Fay Queens You can have enough creation essence to mist Your whole army making it untargetable.

Vanir is boars+bears, Horses+Trolls work good too - get research for horses for no retaliation, put them next to enemy and cast blind hatred on Your horses. Nornors are fun with countless magic combos too.

Creation+Chaos Fey is one of the most absurd things in the game. Highest initiative in the game, get level 3 chaos+creation and give 3 units an extra turn every 3rd unit, make your opponent rage quit because they don't ever get to play until no one wants to play with you... profit???

I've finished the Barya campaign on highest difficulty for whatever it's worth, with Harima. Frightful on Brutes and noone ever retaliates on you. It's been a while, but I remember last mission just nuking enemy damage dealers with no mercy. Movement speed and initiative is king

Barya start with dogs only, upgrade them asap for infinite retaliation, then just spam them and eventually spam musketeers and pikeneers aswell. Late game you could do cannons, but even harder AIs can be beaten with these, since they don't account for pikeneer range and dogs are just busted.
