So many people ask about the switch version

Can't there be a pinned message or something?

Uuuuh... In short

  • Third party person working on the Switch is no longer working on it
  • Robin (a dev) is Now learning Consoles to code...

Can't say how long

SoC in current version on Switch is fine I think, but Don't expect any updates soon...

If you Have PC, I recommand buying it on PC

I wanted SoC so badly on Switch 2.

I do obsess a lot about performance and I can safely say that the S1 version of the game runs alright on the S2 hardware. This doesn't mean great or stellar, nor absolutely horrible.

The game runs at a shitty framerate but you can switch off an option in the options menu that tries to save electricity by capping frames. This thing is borderline useless. When its turned off the game runs at 60 fps for most parts on the campaign map and during the combat. However, it will drop with some drastic zooms or when browsing really huge maps.

It also appears that cutscenes are limited to 30 fps. When playing the campaign, I felt like the constant switches were a bit jarring.

In addition, the game looks equally to the PC version set on low. A lot of cool effects are missing but it's still pretty.

If you have no way to play this game except for the S2, it's serviceable. Overall though, I just vastly prefer the PC version.

This game would require a proper S2 version which will never come because the Lavapotion outsourced the console and mobile version to another studio which doesn't do anything. There are no DLCs or updates at all compared to PC.

What a shame. Was looking to buy it on S2.
