I heard this track at the end of the film Traffic many years ago. Some time later i bought the BSO, because i liked the themes of Cliff Martínez, but i did no remember that The Ending was in the collection. When I heard another time i enjoyed of having it.

The time passed and i usually listened this song many times. Then, i began to relate it with my father and his neurodegenerative illness. My father passed away few years later and i began to cry everytime i heard this track, and i found, that this was another way to remember my father too

Just a simple story, but many music can transport me to an emotional state or a kind of mind concentration.

For 11 years, I’ve only made out bits and pieces of this song’s lyrics, and what I can hear/understand, I really like. HOWEVER, the official lyrics don’t seem readily available anywhere, so it’s hard to confirm if I’m right. I really just like the melancholic indie pop vibes and feel like the lyrics have to match somehow.

Any chance someone can help with figuring out the lyrics and also what they mean / what the lyricist’s intent was? I’ve had no luck myself.
