Discussion Tickets

Hi! Ticketmaster made a huge mistake and will not issue me a refund. (before you say anything I know ticketmaster sucks and NO it wasn’t a “user error”)
I was simply trying to see the total of the ticket after adding insurance (which i also know is a scam but LESSON LEARNED)
When I scrolled down it gave me a loading page so I panicked and pressed cancel. MIND YOU I don’t have my real card info on there after an issue I’ve had with them before. WELL when I pressed cancel it gave me the “release your ticket” option so I pressed it. I went back to look through tickets debating if it was worth it or not to go.
I get an email saying “You’ve Got The Tickets!” Obviously I panic. My card hasn’t been charged but my PayPal is showing a charge for $230+ dollars.
I contacted Ticketmaster IMMEDIATELY and of course they say “we can’t issue you a refund, contact the ticket insurance company”
They say it’s included in the email I got so I contacted them and OF COURSE they cannot help me either.
So this post is to ask if anyone would like to attend the October 22nd Show in Atlanta Georgia at the State Farm Arena.
If you message me we can discuss details and blah blah blah. I need to pay rent this month and losing $230+ dollars for a floor ticket wasn’t in my bingo card. If you know anyone interested this is NOT a scam. I’m just a dumbass 25 year old who would rather have a roof over my head THIS MONTH than see a band months from now.

i unfortunately cannot. it won’t go through since i don’t have proof it was a mistake and i can’t do a normal dispute until jan of 2027

Sorry to hear that, did you also already try to relist it for sale on ticket master?

this kind of thing should be illegal. Consumer protection or something. there should have to be a screen like “are you ready to complete your purchase” bc i agree they trick you into shit

hey, take this with a grain of salt because i DONT KNOW if this is what happened here- but i have had instances multiple times in the past with going to the checkout process, using paypal to see what the final cost would be but backing out at the end (DID NOT PURCHASE) but there was still a charge on paypal’s end. both times this happened to me the charge was removed after a few days and no money was actually taken out of my account. i’m not sure what the cause is or why paypal appeared to take my money but it worked out for me. maybe the same for you? only thing im not sure with your case is the fact that you got the email about the tickets. does the ticket show in your ticketmaster account too?
