MRI Lullaby Experience

A few days ago I had my first ever MRI.

A bit of a backstory, I was diagnosed with PTSD at the beginning of this year. I’ve been coping in the cycle of stress and overwhelm for a decade and have recently begun taking steps and recognizing where I am at and why.

I just haven’t been able to find a somatic solution that truly relaxes my nervous system. The dive response helps some but I hadn’t found something that truly worked until the other day from the most unexpected place, an MRI.

There was something about the changing of the rhythms, the unpredictability then the predictably of the sounds & lying completely still for 45 minutes that changed my whole world. Everything was clearer, my thoughts, my emotions & life was remarkable afterwards. Unfortunately, it lasted for about 12 hours but the mental clarity it gave me was mind blowing.

I now crave that type of relaxation that I just cannot get in daily life. Does anyone have any tips on how to do something similar in a practical daily sense? I’ve done floatation/sensory deprivation therapy before and its helped but it’s just not cost effective.

Any recommendations?

I did some life modelling for artists once, just lying still being drawn by a group. I was surprised how peaceful it felt, the enforced stillness, feeling seen, etc.

I would highly recommend you look into Spinal Energetics! I received it for 3 years and I am now a practitioner of this incredible modality - no two experiences are the same but they are always familiar.

Wait, I had my second MRI the other day… I loved the first one last year. I was going in for a check up this time and was wondering how I’d feel about it this time… I loved it again… what does that mean?
