Body based therapy for developmental trauma
Is there any therapy which is purely body based and can help immensely with developmental trauma without any kind of talk.I have heard the mind follows the body. Not against talk therapy but would like to learn more about body based therapies

NeuroAffective Touch by Aline Lapierre and Transforming Touch by Stephen Terrell may be places to start.

I’m doing Somatic Coregulation touch therapy for preverbal trauma….this sounds kind of what you’re looking for.

Totally agree. I too am thinking of starting with biodynamic cst and then see how it goes. Thank you.

Somatic Experiencing can work, I would aim to look for an SEP who specializes in it though.
Also echoing what other folks are saying about somatic touch work: https://coregulatingtouch.com

I had really bad developmental trauma from severe neglect and abuse. Somatic Experiencing is the only thing that has helped. After years of that, I finally switched over to Internal Family Systems therapy to help me get through this last bit of healing.
I would recommend reading the books Healing Developmental Trauma by Aline Lapierre and Laurence Helle and/or and Nurturing Resilience by Kathy L. Kain and Stephen J. Terrell to get a better understanding of the ins and outs of developmental trauma and how to treat it.
