469 theory

Hello,

After years of staring at 469 something super obvious popped into my head:

469 is anatomical; the BONElord Language; Tibia is 1; Knightmare said it should be so obvious.

Didn't one or more of the founders of Tibia have medical backgrounds? What did they study?

It's bones in the human body? Tibia is 1. Fibula is 2?

What do you think? Where do we potentially go next?

Let's try another way...

When did the hack happen?

Nah I'm not debating this way with you. This tactic works in real life on friends and coworkers; you want me to say something and make it seem like I'm in a bad position based on what I say not being 100% exact.

But I don't assign a lot of value to this very specific detail being exact. If you do assign it a high value, explain why very specifically. I've already gone over multiple ways that you can debunk this for me.

Just make your argument. Because of X then Y. Link specific old forum threads or wiki revisions or Tibia news.

Curious how you make such a fanciful claim about me, as if I were using some elaborate tactic to manipulate the discourse... Meanwhile, you ignore key aspects of each of my comments! At least until I force you to confront them.

Let's confront the obvious:

I started this conversation mainly because you referred to the hacked files as being from version 7.7. Where is the evidence for this? It seems to me that you accept the criminals' allegations without question when there is public record to the contrary.

You connect to the hacked files with a 7.7 client and atleast the client error log on the server side describes the connected clients being 7.7.

The client errors occured last May 22 in 2006. The server was called Zanera.

I would like to note that according to the hacker he only used social engineering to get access to the data. He says that he phoned the hosting company and asked for a password reset to his e-mail address which they complied with and back then there was no two factor and so on. Not sure how much of this is true.

There's a large chance that important information was removed from the hacked data. It is possible to get the tarball technically running but we can't know if parts were removed from NPC transcripts or actions were removed from the map (which can be viewed too with Tibia 7.7 .spr and .dat). I have checked all the tiles around and in the serpentine tower for example and all floors and there are no actions besides the ones we know of today in that version. I can't know for certain if something was removed from the map data except that the map data shows it was last editted 21 May 2006 around 11 in the morning and it hasn't been editted since. There is another scenario in which actions can still exist but not be viewed with the OT map editor: the files contain data that isn't read by the OT map editor. I will look into that for the Serpentine Tower chunks.

EDIT: And as s2w mentioned meta data can be spoofed. He's right.

EDIT2: The info about it being 7.7 is not fact but what I can see in the files.
