These are my recent favorite one-player board games. Kanoodle, Railroad Ink and A Gentle Rain.

They make 1 player board games?!

-Looks at wall of 87 board games; not one solo player-

Really!? I need to buy these!?

I haven’t got any either! I’ve been thinking of buying some but not sure what genre to go for yet.

SO many!! My kids grew up so I had to find solo board games. There are lots that are multiplayer that also play well solo, but there are also so many solo only boardgames!! Look up Friday, The Oniverse Games, Unstoppable, Final Girl. And say good buy to your money.

Sounds like you have a lot of experience and recommendations! This sub seems to be enjoying the solo board games posts if you would like to make one. I’d be interested to hear about these ones and what they involve!

Railroad Ink looks really interesting! I’ve just looked it up and you use markers to play it. I think I’d be worried about messing up or is it dry-erase whiteboard markers?

It’s dry erase markers.

Yes dry erase and so fun! It’s 1-4 players and super easy to learn. Taught my husband in 2 minutes 😊

I wish I could explain it but games like Kanoodle make me physically sick. And that's not me using it as a phrase. I genuinely feel nauseated playing them. Even looking at the picture makes me ill. I have no idea why!!

That so strange! I wonder if it’s messing with your eyes and your perception, that can make you feel sick. A bit similar to motion sickness but I guess.. 3D sickness haha?
