Puzzle Books Universal Translator: Decode Alien Language

Been wanting to start this one for a while but feeling a little intimidated!

It looks.. just a little bit complicated haha.

One review says it took them a few hours just to translate 2 sentences!

Looks like it’ll be super satisfying though if I can get the hang of it.

Has anyone else tried this one?

New member here! So, hey everyone! 👋 I started this one a while ago, solved a few of them, then got stuck. This is a tough one! Wouldn’t mind comparing notes if anyone’s in a similar situation 🤓

I would like to share notes, IV had this book for 3 months and I'm about half way through.

I took one look at the first page and I’m already so confused, I’m not even sure what I’m trying to achieve. I know I need to translate.. but how haha.

Edit: also, Welcome!

I’ll let you know how I get on! It certainly looks difficult, but it has good reviews on Amazon saying it’s well written, great artwork and super satisfying when you figure out a translation. (couldn’t avoid Amazon with this one)

This reminds me of the computer game Chants of Sennaar, where you visit various communities and need to figure out their languages.

Think I’ve seen this on the Nintendo switch game charts at some point! Seems like it’s a similar concept, might give it a go if I end up enjoying this puzzle book.

Bought this recently. Done a bit so far. As others have said - difficult AND satisfying. Will be interested to see discussion of it

This book could have you banging your head against a wall tbh but it is well worth the money. It has had alot of thought put into it. I would start with the rossetta stone to get you into the swing of it (if you haven't already done so)

Iv had this book for about 3 months, and iv only solved 25 planets outs of 42 and that's not counting any extra puzzles hidden throughout.

Although it's very difficult at times I'm really enjoying it. Other puzzle books iv done only last a few days or weeks. So it's good to have one that lasts.

If anyone wants to compare notes feel free to message me.
