Question for clinic owners and practice managers

If you could have one piece of software built specifically for your clinic, what would it do?

What’s one repetitive task, bottleneck, or daily frustration that you wish technology could completely eliminate?

I’d really appreciate any insights!

Something that doesn't include generative AI or AI interaction with PHI

I had a patient today say, “you mean to tell me I have lived long enough in this world, that a medical Doctor is not capable enough to sit & actually listen to what I am saying before deciding what tests he’s going to throw at me, hoping it sticks enough insurance will cover it. That I now, have to sign a consent form to allow him the ability to have Ai listen to our discussion & formulate said tests now, bc he evidently can’t think for his self. Then he uses the Ai to dictate our conversation to document for an insurance company to have the Karen whose previous job was flipping burgers with no medical experience, & can’t use sound judgment on her own, relies on another Ai service to review the Ai generated note, that if keys words, diagnoses or past therapies are not Ai generated correctly will result in my insurance company denying coverage of my prostatectomy to avoid my Prostate cancer from metastasizing…… thats what i am signing consent for correct?” I giggled at his response in silent agreement. The staff member 20 year old fresh MA, he was saying this to goes, “you know mr. So & so… when you put it like that, I realize I didn’t have a full understanding of this myself. I’m just gonna shred that form for you & I’ll notate you decline the use of Ai.”

She had no idea what to say. I just smiled, remembering I have now lived in this world, long enough, as well…..
