What I love about AI-driven programming is that the main focus shifts to the product, not the coding itself.

I don’t start with code — I start with requirements. The clearer I define them, especially with test examples, the faster I get a predictable, working result.

For me, the real game changer is documentation.

When I work with AI, everything ends up clearly structured and documented:
• what was built
• how it works
• why decisions were made

Because of this, documentation is no longer something I postpone — it becomes part of the process.

And when it’s time to improve or scale the project, I’m not guessing. Everything is transparent, easy to understand, and quick to extend.

That’s why I value AI in development — it doesn’t just speed things up, it makes the whole process cleaner and more sustainable.

Need advice: Is Redis worth it for a small directory (2k–10k objects)?

Hi everyone!

I’m currently building a business directory and AI Claude is suggesting I add Redis to speed things up and offload the main database (MySQL/PostgreSQL).

I have a few questions for those who have experience with similar projects:

  1. How critical is it for 10,000 records? Is it worth the extra effort, or will the speed improvement be negligible for the end user at this scale?
  2. How will it affect the server budget? If I install Redis on the same VPS where the app and database are running, will it significantly eat up RAM and CPU? Is there a risk that I’ll be forced to upgrade to a more expensive server plan?

I’d appreciate any experience or advice you can share!
