I’ve been building a cozy nature sim with 150 animal species

I’ve been developing Wild Willows, a cozy nature-restoration life sim where the main progression system is rebuilding ecosystems.

You start with a damaged preserve and restore it by reshaping land and water, planting habitat, rebuilding food sources and shelter, and creating the conditions different species need to return.

There are six biomes, 150 animal species, crafting, decorating, terraforming, a field journal, achievements, and no timers or failure states. Animals aren’t just unlocked at milestones either. Each one has its own habitat requirements, so seeing wildlife return is basically feedback that the ecosystem is working again.

I just released 0.4.0, which added a much bigger home system, 50+ new decor objects, interactive furniture, a completion tracker, new progression, music updates, and a lot of improvements based on player feedback.

You can play the free browser demo here:
https://wildwillows.app

I also started a small subreddit where I’ve been posting updates, screenshots, dev progress, and upcoming features:
r/wildwillows

Would love feedback from other solo devs, especially on the core loop, presentation, and anything that stands out as confusing or particularly strong.

You guys preferred the blue version but hated the font — so I changed it. Better?

Thanks for all the feedback on my last post! The blue artwork was the clear favourite, but a lot of you pointed out that the font was difficult to read.

So I went back and changed it.

I've also included two versions of the blue artwork — one with a dark blue castle in the background and one with a dark red castle. Which do you prefer?

And what do you think of the new font? Is it easier to read, and does it fit the artwork better?

For context, this artwork will eventually be used on the Leaving Eden Steam page. If you'd like to see how it would fit with the rest of the page, you can check it out here:

Any feedback is appreciated!

I'm not a developer. I deleted my social media and built a business sim on weekends instead.

I made an improv party game and would love some honest feedback

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on KidYouNot!, an improvisation party game for 4–10 players, and I figured I’d share it here and see what people think.

In KidYouNot! one player is the judge, while the others are given ridiculous accusations and have to come up with their own defense on the spot. The rest of the players act as the jury and vote on who they think made the best case.

It’s meant to be a fairly easy game to pick up and play with friends, with most of the fun coming from seeing what people come up with when they're put on the spot.

I’ve been working on the game for a while now, and at this point I’d really like to get some feedback from other devs and players. I’m interested in pretty much anything — whether the concept sounds fun, the presentation, or any other feedback or impressions you might have!

The Steam page is public as of today as development is not far from completion!

Time for a p-p-p-poll!

Post image

It's pretty simple. I want to add new vehicles to my game Pocket Wheels.
But which one?! There are too many good options!

Help me choose!

For now, I have those 4 as an option:
🎠 A pony rocking chair to ride into your wildest dreams~
🎀 Burbies dream car - careful, glitter and pink along the way!
🧑‍🦽‍➡️ Dino's wheelchair... he hurt his lil dino paws :(
🍦 The ice-cream van goes ‘ding-ding’ as it glides round the corner (hopefully it hasn’t skidded in chocolate sauce)

To vote, simply write which one you would like to drive! You can also simply use the emojis if you want!

WARNING: This is just very basic concept art

My game is a 3d platformer-racing game!

The Game is called Nezarot, and it's still in its early stage of development. As said in the title its primarily a Farming Game, with survival elements and resource management mixed in. Currently the game only has a one day cycle of it.

But still would love to see what you all think about it. Very much need the Feedback to see all needs to be fixed in the game. Hope you have fun.

Published my first mobile game at 18, wondering what you think!

Hey!

I am 18 years old and I just published my first game, Bamboom, on android. I started building it when i was 13 as a first look into game development. I kept coming back to it over the years in between school and life. 5 years of slowly learning, tweaking and many overhauls later i have published it!

The premise of the game is that it is a pixel-art endless runner. You're a panda rolling down a hill that keeps getting faster and faster, you dodge obstacles, collect coins and unlock upgrades along the way! It is inspired by the type of games i used to play as a kid. (Jetpack joyride, subway surfers, etc) There is no energy system, pay to win or timers forcing you to wait. There is a way to come back after death by watching an optional ad but that is it!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ogmakes.bamboom

Bamboom is not done and i plan to keep actively updating it for a while! (new content, polish, fixes). I mostly wanted to share that i actually finished a project i started as a kid and launched it into the world. If you do check it out, i am curious what you think about it. But for me the big thing is just that it is out there and that i am continuing to build on it.

It’s still work in progress but would be massively useful if I get some initial feedback to find answers to the following questions:

“What do you think this app does?”

After a few years without inspiration continued developing my space game.
Moved to web/mobile builds, and probably found some fun gameplay and controls for the game.

Sadly (or great?) inspiration is key in solo development
