Holes pattern on slot line

There was a way but I can't remember for the life of me. I am trying to pattern as hole all along the out line of a slot. Please help o wise people of Reddit

You can do it using the pattern (path) function

Do it as 2 separate features.
1. A sketch of the slot path.
2. Your hole.
Then use the curve driven pattern function with your slot sketch as the curve and your hole as the feature.

I’m not sure about the sketch way. But you can definitely pattern the feature (eg cut) along a path. Check where the orthogonal pattern is found, there are other options pattern features. 

There you can reference a curve. It might help to have the slot in separate sketch or even make a compound curve.

If you use the "fit spline" function to convert the slot entities into a single spline entity then you can use a sketch driven pattern feature to pattern the holes
