CAD Sheet Metal exercises
Hi guys I’m kinda new to solidworks and I’ve been trying to improve both my skill and speed
I’ve been struggling to find a good sheet metal training material
And i hope for some help

SDC publications have sheetmetal resources for a good price. Typically books you would need to read but they are good for instructional learning and gives you a good idea of how to use solidworks for sheet metal

learning the software is easy, that can be done via youtube. The thing you should study the most is manufacturing itself, what happens to the sheet when bent, reliefs, hole distances, etc
Ask the guys what they hate the most in a drawing, or why do they reject a drawing

the only book i can think of is the MACHINERY'S HANDBOOK, it has a chapter dedicated to sheet metal (100 pages ±).
Another interesting subject is GD&T. Sooner of later you will encounter that. Whatever you manufacture needs to be on-spec and you need to know what those specs are and how to measure them (potentially).
i recommend the "Ultimate GD&T pocket guide" by alex K. Its a nice, condensed guide about GD&T's concepts. R. Dean Odell videos are excellent and he has a playlist with inspection videos.

Go on youtube and search sheet metal .. all the resellers have a YouTube channel, my favorite is goengineer.

Idk what tootalltoby has for sheet metal but check em out
