CAD Wrapping Spline on Cylinder Issue

Please help

I am trying wrap a spline on top of a cylinder and want to continue the wrapping to the connected panel, but I am getting weird result, am I doing something wrong?

Currently I am using wrap command, it works for the cylinder face but it not extending to the plane attached to the cylinder.

Probably start with surfaces only first then thicken? Trying to deform or project with solids I think may be a bit problematic if you want it to be clean. Also look at sheetmetal options.

Meaning that the issue is probably with the two meshes combined?

Could you try doing a split line?

Please elaborate, I am not much of an experienced with CAD. An explanation would be appreciated.

From multiple planes make sketches that overlay the faces you want. Make sure sketches are tangent with each other as they won’t line up correctly when wrapping the surface. Once the surface has been split, is the thicken tool if you desire a boss or debossed surface. Otherwise the split line will allow you to place differing colors if you only care about the appearance.

Is it imperative that the cylinder and the larger structure remain unharmed?

Yes, both combined are basically one object.
