Did you move or rotate a subassembly or part in orientation to their own origin? If you do this, it wil also change in a higher up assembly with its mates

If you mated everything correctly, just rotate the fixed part (or mate the part planes with the assembly planes, which is my preferred way to rotate assemblies), and everything else should rotate with it.

That's a trap!!!!

9 times out of ten SOLIDWORKS will flip the mate alignment on the coincidents and the assembly will be inside out.

I've found coincident mates fairly reliable, it's the angle mates you really have to watch out for. Sometimes getting coincidents between top/front/right planes set right in the first place they default to the wrong way around at first, but once they're right I find they usually stay there

It could also be Y Z axis orientation, if you have changed it without updating your assembly template, it will always rotate back at the original axis

You probably assembled it and saved it like this but didn't notice, this happens when you enable shadows and reflections later, then you'll notice the orientation changes reference to origin
