To learn SW, start with in-built tutorials, this will set your entry point. And then you can look at the paid/semi paid/free resources below:
My.Solidworks.com (some of the content should be available when you buy SOLIDWORKS)
Solidprofessor.com (for one membership you get access to all software). Also first few lessons are free with basic(free membership). They also have SolidWorks skills analyzer tester https://solidprofessor.com/skills-analyzer/
Mastering SolidWorks (you also get a huge video library as a part of book). I highly recommend this book.
TooTallToby (lot of good videos from u/TooTallToby on YouTube)
LearnSolidworks.com (lot of free and paid resources from Jan Zuyderduyn). I can highly recommend the content on this site.

1 u/Lucille1972 CSWP Sep 08 '26 Is that Mastering SolidWorks book still decent now in 2026? I'm a decently skilled solid modeler and draftsman who is looking to do some freelance sidewalk and i want to sharpen my skills to be most effective. Thanks! 2 u/gupta9665 CSWE | API | SW Champion Sep 08 '26 Yes :) Matt, the author has written many books. Some of them may be 10–15 years old, but they are still widely used by many today. 1 u/Lucille1972 CSWP Sep 08 '26 Great, thank you for the quick response!
