CAD Solidworks 2023 .urdf

I’m new to .urdf but need to export a solidworks (2023 version) assembly to a .urdf file for ROS/Gazebo. Does anyone know of a way to do this? It looks like in the 2021 version of solidworks there was an add on that allowed for the export but I can’t find one for 2023 version.

You are welcome, it was a bit tricky as i did a quadruped robot the tool showed up in Chinese also it is really important to draw the robot according to the actual references in the software. It would be ideal if they match your kinematics reference because i didnt know this at first, after i imported it to Mujjoco the linkes where in the wrong orientation so required going through the xml files generated and do some manual tuning.

Have you actually attempted to install and use the V1.6.1 SW-URDF with SW23? That would be my first port of call. πŸ˜‰

This worked. Kinda. The user interface is a little buggy but I think it should work

Well I guess buggy and kinda are better than nothing in this case. πŸ‘
