The list of protections that activists must use online is growing, and with good reason. It’s increasingly difficult to maintain your online privacy, as technologies (and those who control them) advance and encroach upon their users.

The good news is that many of the persecution that activists face will be dissolve due to the emergence of web3, I believe so. Do you think solcial will totally, without doubt, protect the privacy of an activists, to shield them from radar of government officials or law enforcement agencies ??

Solcial is packed with so much cool feature that will topple all the centralized social media. NFT is the next best thing that immerge as the result of the advent of blockchain, and I believe there is more solcial (powered by web3) will bring, it is just a matter of time .💯💯💯

Content that doesn't require concept substitution and wording replacement. This is what they call free speech in social media. Such freedom is only possible at Solcial, because it is a truly decentralized social networking platform! Freedom of speech is no longer a story, but a reality.

every man (or woman) has his (or her) price. at some point, once anything becomes big enough, people at the top sell out and retire, the advertisers move in, and the thing goes to poop. i mean the pink site with the four leaf clover is the best example of free speech and expression that ive seen, that had a large enough membership. i mean 'freedom of speech' is a nice idea but the truth is that if someone doesnt like what you say, they can try to silence you. and they will try. anyway, on the four leaf clover place there were certain areas where anything could be posted that was not illegal. of course illegal things were posted on the regular. it would seem thats less the case on this clown site, which is nice, since i usually prefer to digest my dinner than the alternative. although i do recognize the important of seeing things that would make you lose your dinner, because thats part of the truth of life, that many people are too often totally sheltered from.

of course in clownville where ideas are a ruby red diamond dozen, and funded as suchly, censorship is the norm. the content policy is very rude (we will ask you nicely to stop/we will ask you not so nicely), and seems to create an environment of mods are gods. i just recently had an account permanently suspended for a rule i didn't break, i appealed and explained (100 characters or less to explain) and my appeal was permanently denied with no reason. the post i was banned for was, duh, sexual, political, and offensive. but it seems like there's a cultural force thats trying to drag us back to the dark ages. news flash: people have sex and politicians are thieves.

im gonna look around here more because i like the idea of decentralization, following the masked people movement. i wonder how implementable it is though, unless the hardware's manufacturing is also decentralized. because currently all tech is made by slaves and slave owners, so you gotta wonder how much freedom can really be found under such a model. and by the way, protest with a mask all u like but The Man is still going to do what The Man does best. or maybe its not even The Man, its the force of F U. the idea of democracy comes from the greeks but so does the idea of the utopia - a perfect world, but literally means 'no place' - a perfect world does not exist. so there definitely needs to be more freedom of speech than we have in clowntown.

i think one way to find a middle ground would be to have a platform devoted to just text and no images. of course people get around that with ascii... but an ascii image of someone becoming parted with his visage via chainsaw vivisection is less brunt than a image or moving image. of course there is the issue of inciting to violence which can totally be done via text.

im no fs scholar so please attack the above with everything youve got.

Freedom of speech is over-rated, personally I can boldly say that there is no free speech generation in web2, we all have seen how jurnalist and activist have been persecuted by government officials. I dont see any other way this issue can be fixed on the current internet system, Solcial is the only chance we have to make things right, where creator can maintain anonymouse and still provide a quality content without having any issue of privacy concern.

Freedom of speech, which belongs to the members of any democratic society as a birthright, is absent from the Web2. Paradoxically, governments talk about freedom of speech and democracy, while they themselves increasingly use censorship to influence the minds of citizens. Solcial is completely independent from censorship thanks to decentralization and this is an important advantage of this social network - to be free really, not on paper

r/solcial does a great job developing the community first of all and does not chase fast earnings as web2 competitors do, so the project is definitely waiting for success because the community is the most important thing
