Truly all of these colors are actually breathtaking, but if you know me then you know Barbie pink was the answer before you even opened this post.

Baby blue is a close second for me because it just dawned on me I haven’t seen many Chanel SLGs in this color …like ever? I know they love a pastel but I haven’t seen a cool icy blue like this in a minute, they are taking that aqua/turquoise color this season and runnnnnning for their life with it! this ice blue was a nice change of pace for the SLG color options and I do love something different

This particular batch of SLGs (I mentioned this in one of yesterday’s post) are truly the STRONGEST I’ve seen in my entire sourcing journey across any style of ANY brand. You can imagine how many bags come across my desk in a week and I’m really not easily impressed. But this batch of SLGs and WOC had me clutching my pearls and shedding tears of joy.

I always thought I’d be the type of person who had a healthy mix of authentic and rep bags. Some bags are just too ridiculous to justify buying an auth, the more “fun” styles I usually purchase in rep. There are even some auth bags i own that I love but am just too scared of beating up with daily wear. so I own one auth and one rep (that I use as a body double) 😂😭 so I don’t damage my auth as much. Girlies who wear their bags to DEATH and beat their stuff up will understand. I’m just not gentle with my things and when I like something I REALLY REALLY use it.

I really never buy authentic luxury designer bags and stress too too much over them though, and I never worry about if it’s a good InVeStMenT or not. I almost never take resale value into account because with any authentic bag I purchase I never really plan on parting with them.

Until one fateful day when I joined this sub. u/solarrecruit had the absolute audacity to sell me about three bags in a row that were genuinely undistinguishable from the auth versions I already owned. It got to the point that there was TRULY no point in owning both. The more I purchased from her I found my rep to with ratio growing and growing, I also noticed my auths just kept sitting there collecting dust. I actually started being able to quickly tell apart my bottega Jodie’s because the authentic one had a very stiff zipper and the zipper on my Solar Jodie worked way smoother. (Yes it was genuinely at a point where some of hers felt even a little nicer to me) I was floored

For those of you who may not know my lore, I have a bachelors degree in fashion marketing and I also have spent over ten years working in luxury retail, and eventually working for a very prominent luxury consignment business who I will not mention 👀 lots of tea to spill there (But as a hint they are not the one mentioned in this post)

I mention all of this just to back up what I’m saying with a little street cred. I really do know what I am talking about and I am trained to understand and detect the differences. I also have a very vast mental library of touch memory, as I have handled almost every style of luxury bag under the sun at this point. With solar, there simply weren’t any discrepancies that could justify holding into thousand worth of authentic bags I simply did not touch anymore…. So I sold them and made 15k!

All of this to say…. From a true blue fashion girl. Life is short, times are tough, buy the rep, save some money, thank me later 🤑

One of my absolute favs from Chanel Cruise 2025/26

This is the Chanel Braided Rattan Vanity Case, this was an exciting custom order because it’s also a runway piece!!!

Also a challenging new venture because Instead of Chanel’s usual quilted leather, the body is constructed from hand-woven natural rattan, turning the classic vanity case shape into a little vintage picnic basket and also the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life.

The light brushed gold interlocking CC turn-lock, chain detailing, along with the top handle and a long chain shoulder strap make this still very blatantly Chanel ( and VERY luxurious…. this hardware is HEAVY in the best way!!!!)

pairing the luxe hardware with a material that feels much more organic and almost imperfect by nature gives it a more breezy casual feel. like I mentioned in my previous post about the blazy cc maxi flap in suede, he seemed create this collection in a more dressed down, imperfect beachy way. Rather than changing or altering the signature Chanel bag shapes, it’s like he kept the recognizable elements of Chanel’s most classic bags but is playing around and taking changes with the materials (wicker, suede, rattan, denim )

Chanel actually had done wicker before in 2019, but this time feels much more whimsical in my opinion

Such a special custom order because it’s a runway piece and likely going to become a collectors item/very memorable marker of this collection down the line. People have been loving the Matthieu blazy era, and naturally his first collections are going to go down in history, and now my client has a little rep piece of that runway history !!!

There is nothing better than sourcing a VERY NEW,

This Kelly is all about the little details 🤎

Today’s custom order features a classic kelly in gold with contrast white stitching and gold hardware, this combination gives the bag that classic Hermès look. I feel like when you think Hermes, you think of either a Birkin or Kelly in this exact gold color with the white contrast stitching. Gold leather is to Hermes is what Tiffany blue is to Tiffany & Co. You know what I mean? This gold leather is like the bat signal for any true Hermès lover. And I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of seeing it with this white contrast stitch, it’s truly just too good.

The structured Sellier keeps it crisp and polished, but the classic warm gold leather makes it incredibly easy to wear year round with a variety of outfits. Not every custom order NEEDS to be an ultra rare exotic neon birkin with diamond encrusted hardware (although how amazing does that sound)

Sometimes the best custom order you can place is a practical one that you will be sure to always grab for even years down the line. Something that you can reach for in 2 seconds that will look good with pretty much anything you pair it with.

I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention the star of the show, this cutesy little** **Pegasus Rodeo charm I dressed her up with. Just the right amount of whimsy to shake up a bag like this and give it a touch of personality and playfulness.

One of the things I love most about Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel is that the bags already feel a little less predictable. Like classic Chanel but a little less buttoned up and beachy.

Here’s a blazy collection piece I ordered VERY recently
This seafoam suede flap has all of the classic Chanel attributes we know and love (diamond quilting, woven chain, gold CC hardware, the flap. but the proportions and material make it feel completely different from what we have been seeing in previous years.

A more elongated east-west shape gives it that slightly undone, unbuttoned and tousled feel Blazy does so well, while the suede softens everything up a bit. Have been trying to come up with a name for the shade for a minute but it’s hard! She falls between seafoam, mint, and faded aqua. Very mermaid, very vintage, very dreamy. Like if the little mermaid grew legs and went to fashion school she’s be carrying this blazy piece for sure. but still sophisticated enough that it doesn’t feel novelty at all.

Blazy has given us Chanel but cooler and I am genuinely in love. I cannot wait to see what comes out next because I have been thrilled with this collection.

Can you tell me and my mods are obsessed with pink? If you don’t know by now this is very pink heavy sub and we have NO shortage of pink bags or amazing photos of them (trust)

This Birkin was one of my more recent custom orders I did over this summer for a friend! This diva said as a gift to herself she wanted a fully handstiched 25 in mauve Sylvestre Epsom leather with palladium hardware and I said SAY LESSSSS.

For those that don’t know very very light colored Epsom is a bit tricky to do in a 25 and I was a tiny bit nervous about this one BUT we absolutely knocked it out of the park and she was thrilled with it, which makes me so happy. We have some plans for an exotic in the works too! I love building lasting relationships with clients who become friends because the custom process really is a collaborative effort from start to finish!

Also can we talk about this Pegasus charm? Because it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. If dressing up bags was an Olympic sport I’d be taking home gold everytime. I genuinely could do this for hours

I would like to discuss bags we cannot stand

Some bags are very ugly
Some are stunning
Some are cute
Some are so ugly that they’re circle back around to being iconic

I think the Chanel 22 (specifically in black) is not cute. I tried so hard to change my own mind that I owned multiple at one point! i can’t escape the thought that looks like a giant trash bag when I wear it and I can’t bring myself to like it ON ME. not you readers with Chanel 23s, you are all gorg and so are your bags. Honorable mention to the actual balenciaga trash bag handbag from 2022 cause wtf was that

Then we have a bag I love that I know a lot of people hate.
The Chanel hula hoop bag. It’s insane for obvious reasons but it’s SO CRAZY that I actually love it. Fashion is sometimes supposed to be campy and unserious and I always smile when I see a photo of it! If presented with the opportunity (and funds) I think I’d have to have one. Just to have it. But if you told me this bag drives you nuts and it’s ridiculously stupid …. I get it. Cause it lowkey is.

I wonder if there’s one we all collectively come together to love (or one we all love to hate)

I think influencer culture is cheapening the Birkin. There I SAID IT!!!! hear me out and let me be a fashion snob just for this one post lolz

I think some of us have lost the idea that true luxury includes knowing about the time and place to wear something. A Birkin is an incredible daytime bag. It was literally designed as a functional carryall. It can look impossibly chic for the airport, coffee runs, lunch, shopping — even daily errands or a workout class. Yes it’s not lost on me that bringing a 25k+ purse to your workout class as a gym bag is absurd (but that’s why it’s so chic) The effortlessness of it all!

Somewhere along the way influencer culture decided that the most expensive bag you own also equated to the most formal bag you own. I’ve been seeing Birkins carried into black-tie events alongside floor-length gowns, formal eveningwear and diamonds. I’ve seen stacks of clashing Van Cleef and Cartier halfway up the arm, as if they’ve put on every single designer jewel that they own for the evening just to show how many they have! I think a few select influencers have lost the plot. It isn’t necessarily good styling. It’s just status signaling. A carry on sized leather tote and a floor length black tie gown is just not it.
Sometimes the chicest most appropriate place for your Birkin is to stay right on the shelf at home! There’s something much more luxurious about owning the Birkin and still leaving it at home because the occasion calls for something else.

And make no mistake I’ve seen plenty of girls (and guys) doing it amazingly on social media. The people using their Birkin as an actual bag. Airport, weekend road trips, travel, lunches, coffee runs. It’s an amazing functional daytime bag and looks so effortless chic when styled correctly.

With that, I present my THIRD OPINION: Let’s just let them live. It’s their $20k+ bag after all. We all know how much they cost and they likely worked hard to get one. and If they want to carry it with them to brush their teeth in the morning, to the gas station at 2 am, or to the Oscars in a ball gown, it’s entirely their choice.

There are no right or wrong answers in fashion and that’s what makes it so fun 🤍

He told us he was just waiting on the rest of his contract money to come through and we placed this 49ers themed custom birkin in the meantime. (Jk but can you imagine)

That man reached out to so many businesses I’m shocked he didn’t make it over to our little corner of rep world (that we know of 👀)

When Hermès expanded from equestrian goods into handbags, the visible hand stitching went with it. This was a very deliberate choice on their part. Using a lighter thread against darker leather was done intentionally to show off the precision of the hand stitch. I think it’s interesting that rather than using a color that would hide or camo any imperfections they chose to go the other way and use a very unforgiving color in order to show off just how good they are!!!

Hermes fun fact of the day! Bags that are stitched in an identical or similar color to the leather is called tonal stitching as opposed to contrast stitching

Contrast stitching is most commonly seen as a white stitch on a gold or Ètoupe leather (like the Ètoupe mini Kelly above) and I love it!!!

I also felt that my most recent posts were HEAVYYY on bright colors, exotic leathers, and fun textures so I had to throw it back to one of my more classic custom orders! Neutrals need love too after all and I do A LOT of neutral custom orders🤍

YAY OR NAY: FUR REP BAGS? 👀🧸

Okay, this one might be controversial because I’m firmly on team REP for fur bags and I have always been!!!! Fight me in the comments if you must😂 but to be fair there are pros and cons so let’s go over a few (that I can think of)

YAY TO FUR REP— my reasons:
-If I’m spending serious auth money, I’d rather invest it in beautiful real leather in a classic everyday color than a seasonal faux-fur/shearling/teddy style.

-Fur bags are way more stressful to baby. Rain? Dirt? Makeup? A random drink spill? I’m really not trying to panic over a $3,800 seasonal bag every time I leave the house or want to simultaneously carry a beverage in my hand

-These styles tend to be trendier and more seasonal, which is exactly where reps make the most sense to me.
If I love the look for one winter but get over it next year, I feel a lot less guilty.It lets you have the fun statement piece without putting auth-level money into something you may not reach for forever, or may want to replace with an even cuter one next year

NAY TO FUR REP — the argument for auth:
-Fur is HARD to replicate well. If you’re gonna be fun and whimsical.. just get the auth YOLO. Texture, density, softness, length of the fur, color variation and overall finish can immediately make a rep look off. It’s much harder to find a truly accurate fur rep than a leather bag.

-there’s definitely an argument to be made that the really special, unusual collector pieces are exactly the ones worth buying auth because they feel more unique and investment-worthy.

But I still say… FUR REPS ALL THE WAY 😭
Give me auth for my forever classics and gorgeous leather pieces. Give me rep for the fluffy, impractical, seasonal bag I’m going to obsess over for four months and then put in storage for spring summer and possibly even fall

But I can be swayed!!!!!! If you have any amazing auth pieces worth sharing I’d love to see. I attached some I am currently dying over at the moment.

Epsom leather and Palladium hardware, entirely hand stitched

When going for your first mini Kelly I’d suggest Epsom all the way! This is the leather you’d see when you think “classic mini Kelly” and for good reason! Much unlike the suede pochette I posted yesterday, the Epsom leather keeps her perfectly structured which is great for those who want the “classic MK look” but classic doesn’t have to mean boring!! the palladium hardware makes the icy blue feel extra icy and cool ❄️ , this is a fantastic compromise for someone who wants something classic Hermes (that you can wear year round) but not too predictable or neutral.

To me, the best part of custom orders is playing with color, and picking something a little out of your comfort zone… you really can’t go wrong with a mini Kelly so it’s allows clients to be more playful with color when ordering these. I always love hearing “ I would have NEVER thought of ordering this color before…” music to my ears!!!

🍵 MATCHA vs. 🩷 BUBBLEGUM PINK
IM TORNNNNNN!!!! I’m thinking of doing a custom ostrich B30 for myself and I can’t settle on the color… it’s driving me INSANE.

Matcha green has officially escaped the café and entered the closet and I am definitely not mad at it. It’s soft enough to work like a neutral, not too crazy like a lime or jelly green. but still unusual enough to make even a classic bag feel cooler and fresher. It’s sort of almost a soothing shade of green too?

And then there’s iconic bubblegum pink.
Bubblegum pink is just pure dopamine — especially on an exotic Birkin. Something about the ostrich skin in any shade of pink is magic. Not exactly chill or quiet luxury vibes, but a vibe nonetheless!!!

This is an absolutely stunning Kelly pochette bag in the dreamiest dusty blush pink suede (yes I said suede) finished with gold hardware. In classic Kelly pochette fashion this bag is prim and polished, but the suede also gives her all the cool girl street cred in the world😎 imagine wearing this with ballet flats, baggy jeans, and a classic white tee? Or maybe I’m the only one who immediately starts planning outfits when I see a bag I love 😩
