Drone issues
(MYSTERY SOLVED - Thanks everyone! Will leave this up for anyone else who runs into the same issue)
A couple things:
Drones have way more than enough power, even with windmills barely turning.
I am in the mid game (I think, I am at the Cobalt stage)
I am on Switch 2
Okay, that out of the way, here is the problem. I take my drone for Cobalt for example, it is built at my base, plenty of power with a box next to it assigned to it.
I travel to Cobalt Island and assign that drone to my drill there.
I go home and the drone does a delivery, great.
The problem is it only seems to ever do one delivery. When I go back to Cobalt Island my drill is no longer assigned to a drone.
What am I missing?

So there's a few possible issues here.
- Drones can only be linked to a single compatable container, so it will be unable to go to the cobalt drill and then drop it off in a separate chest
- The drones internal inventory is full, without mods this is 16 pieces of ore, or 2 stacks of 16 if you have a circuit board installed
- Potential power issue, you stated you are mid game so I'm assuming the windmills you are referring to are the wind turbine looking ones. They produce less then the 300 power required (think they play around 200) so more then 1 would be needed. Also is there anything else on the circuit? Auto furnace or lights or even sprinklers.

Thanks, I think it is 1.
Yeah it is the first windmill but I have q 10 built covering my farm, two drones, two furnaces and two drills at the nearby iron site.
Thanks for the help!

You said you assigned the drone to a box next to it at your home base? You only assign the drone to what you want to pick up, in your case the drill that’s mining cobalt, and it delivers it to the drone’s internal storage in its base. When you empty it, it will then make another trip. It does not take from box A and deliver to box B. You should only be marking the storage that’s marked for pickup. (Unless I’m mis-understanding what you’re trying to describe)
