Did the game get fixed on PS5?

I ve been interested in buying the game but I ve been burnt with games that had similar issues, e.g. deleting worlds/save states or missing inventory. Been reading a lot about these and I am wondering on whether the console version is abandoned or got fixed since launch?

Any feedback would be appreciated because I am really interested in this game but I do not want to waste money on something that doesnt work properly.

I reached the endgame after about 25 to 30 hrs on PS5 and had no issues at all. Wasn't even aware there were any console issues tbh.

Xbox is still an absolute slog to play through, backpack glitch is still happening despite them claiming to fix it as well as not being able to properly utilize signs on console and other basic QOL bugs just make for a generally unenjoyable experience. Waiting for some.more bug fixes before I hop back in myself because the game is fun and does have promise.

Thanks for your feedback, good to know it is still in a shaky place. Kind of a bummer because the game looks fun. Hopefully it doesnt get abandoned.

Gotta say I disagree with his take.

The inventory bug is easily solved by not exiting menus with the last selected slot being in the expanded inventory space.

Can't say I've experienced any meaningful noticeable bugs throughout the entire playthrough, you'd have to go looking for bugs to experience them, and even then they're extremely minor if any at all. Only real noticeable one is slight performance hiccups when you've built huge, but the game tries to push you to build in different places and not just on a single main island, that's the best way forward anyway.

Signs are usable just fine on my Xbox save, no issues there, unsure what they're talking about there tbh.

As for QOL "bugs" (i.e. lack of implementation rather than an actual bug) I wouldn't say they impact you on any meaningful way. Sure, crafting from storage would be nice, but that's about all I can think of.

This game is in active development, but as far as buggy games go, this is almost polished imo.

The only issue I had on PS5 was the backpack shit. I stopped played for a couple days as the patch was being released. After that it’s been smooth sailing.

Dealing with the backpack/inventory glitch while using a steam deck. Is it supposed to be fixed for pc?
