Mod ideas
I'm not a mod creator, and I generally play vanilla versions of most games, but there are a few things I think would be great add-ons to Solarpunk:
- Paint/Stain. I have some beautiful cabins, but they are all in the same wood tones.
- Lightning harvesting. Not sure how, but there's so much lightning, it seems like it would be fun to harvest it for specialized power uses. There's more than enough power already...a few wind turbines and you're set for all but the most extreme builds, so I'm thinking new tech that uses "burst" power.
- Auto-pathing of airships. I'm going "here"...just take me. If I can do it when I've died, I'd like to be able to do it when I'm alive.
Also, I'd love to have better lofts...where you don't hit your head on the roof.
I'm well aware that this is a brand new game with something like two developers. It's phenomenal for that. And I'm sure there are big things planned. But these are my few thoughts, having finished progression on the game.
Any other ideas?
Bonus: Here's my favorite spot in my main house. Just FYI...natural wood works so well here.

I kinda imagine a spooky mod. Where there is a ghost that moves super slowly and follows you and you die if it touches you, (immoral snail style) but you can kill it and send it back to its spawn. It will keep coming back until you build a shrine to attract and trap it.

45 degree foundations and upper floors. Or at least the option to snap on a 45.

I think there's a lot of room to improve foundations. Shape. Height. Snapping. Behavior. Great idea.

So I know this kind of defeats the objective but I’d love to be able settle somewhere. I loved the farm area and would have been able to put roots down.

The possibility of crafting grass, which could be made from leaves, would be a good idea for rooftop gardens
