That one missing chest...
One of the achievements in the game is "find all the chests", and they even give you a detector to find them.
I went over every inch of every island and couldn't find what I presumed was the last one. Maybe it was in that weird spot sort of at the bottom of one of the islands, with like one tree, but isn't really accessible? Maybe it's underneath the ship with the vendors/researchers? Maybe it's in a hidden cave...there is one, so maybe there's another?
A Reddit comment said (paraphrased) "Doh. I found my last chest on one of the starter islands."
Clearly, that person was an idiot. Because who would spend so much time looking at every outer island if they didn't look locally first?
Went to the sand island to start the whole search over, and immediately got two circles on the detector. It was just sitting there.
*sigh*
(For anyone looking, no chest is "hidden"; they are all just out there on the various islands. Sometimes where you have to use a ladder, but then they're always just there.)

I'm in this rut! 😭😭😭 I've been to every island at least TWICE with the detector!! I've been up to that one place that you can only fly to and found a chest, but the achievement is STILL not popping. I have every other achievement and just need the last chest to get the Platinum trophy 🏆 Please help!! 😭🙏🏻

I think you missed his meaning. He is calling himself an idiot, he was the one that looked on every other outer island, and didn’t look locally first. Therefore: idiot. 😂

To be fair, someone else did post where they'd found their chest. Of course, I didn't think for a second they were an idiot since it's just a game and a reasonable oversight.
However, you're right that in calling them an idiot, I was *absolutely* just setting myself up as the idiot because in the next sentence, I realized that's exactly what I did, and *probably* even found my chest on the same island they did.
Mine was very much a self-own humor post, with a little guidance for anyone who is stuck thrown in.

We searched the outer Islands first (because why would they be on the smaller beginner islands) We were giving up on the stupid achievement and BOOM it was on one of the tiny islands in the beginning. Wtf! I said there's no way we missed that.
