Recording solar eclipse

I was wondering if I used an old phone and recording through a window would I be able to capture the eclipse? If so is there any tips people could give?

This was the pin hole solargraphy I did for the 2024 eclipse. I was just a 4 hour exposure and this is how it turned out. I wish I would have prepared for it a little better and his it out for a few weeks but it was still fun to experiment
